The Care For Kids AmeriCorps members will help assist in educating pre-school teachers, caregivers and parents, as well as directly assist children in emergent literacy, enriched environment, school readiness and developmental disabilities awareness. Early childhood professionals and AmeriCorps members will work together to increase knowledge, skills, and professionalism throughout north central Idaho to provide a higher standard of what is developmentally appropriate practice in education for children birth through eight years of age.
